The Oatey 39000 is a mechanical air admittance valve (AAV) that serves as an alternative to traditional secondary venting in DWV (Drain-Waste-Vent) systems. Constructed from durable ABS plastic with a chrome finish, this valve features a spring-loaded mechanism that opens under negative pressure to admit air, preventing trap siphoning, and closes under positive pressure to seal out sewer gases. It is designed for easy installation on 1-1/2" NPT drain lines and is suitable for venting up to 20 DFU on branch lines or 8 DFU on stack lines.
