The Caleffi 250041A is an automatic air vent valve designed to continuously purge entrained air from closed-loop solar and hydronic heating systems. It features a chrome-plated brass body and cover, stainless steel control spindle, polymer float, and high-resistance elastomer seals. With ½″ MNPT threading, it fits securely into solar loops, extending system efficiency and preventing airlock. Rated for 150 psi and up to 360 °F (180 °C), it tolerates glycol blends up to 50%. Typically installed in vertical orientation at system high points, it must be used with an isolation valve (e.g. Caleffi NA29284) to allow safe maintenance or shut-off.
